Right now, many of us are facing challenges regarding the outbreak of the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic. Whether you are caring for a loved one or your own health, having trouble finding daily supplies, or managing your own business, our thoughts are with you.
I am writing to reassure you that Paw Print Genetics (PPG) remains open for business. Although you have heard of the devastating news coming from Seattle, our laboratory is located on the opposite side of Washington State, near the Idaho border. At the moment, we are ‘business as usual’ here at PPG and will continue to help you with your orders and process your testing in about 2 weeks from sample receipt.
In the Spokane region, we are facing school closures until the end of April, which will affect our workforce, as some will need to stay home due to lack of childcare. But we will continue to work through these challenges and appreciate your patience. We have canceled all business-related travel through the end of April, which has affected our ability to attend some dog shows. Many of those shows are being canceled as well and we are continuing the monitor the situation. I know that you may have planned to have your dog swabbed at an upcoming show, but when you order from us, we will send you the kits and a prepaid return mailer for sending your samples back to us. Please note that it has been our policy to send our US customers one swab kit per dog and one prepaid return mailer per order. We will continue to do this, to make it as easy as possible for you to obtain your samples and send them back to us. Canadian customers can request that we ship them kits, and customers outside of the US and Canada can reach out to us and we will help them locate the proper swabs or collection kits for getting their testing done.
